Free AI — Private AI Experience
A privacy-focused AI application built around user-owned API keys, giving users direct control over their AI usage and credentials.
Free AI was built around a simple idea: give users access to modern AI tools without building the experience around collecting personal data. Instead of managing API credentials on a central backend, users provide and control their own Groq API key.
I designed and developed the application with Next.js and Tailwind, creating a fast and minimal interface focused on the AI experience itself. API credentials remain within the user’s browser rather than being stored on the application server.
The project explores a different approach to AI applications — putting transparency, user control, and privacy at the center of the product experience.
